DIST.S.T.DEVELOPMENT OFFICE : SIDDIPET

1. ADMINISTRATION :

          The Office of the District Tribal Development Officer (DTDO), Siddipet District is functioning with department is  looking after Maintenance of Government Hostels, Scholarship to STs, Incentives to Inter Caste Married couples, Kalyana Lakshmi, Ambedkar Overseas Vidyanidi and economic up-liftment of the people of STs who are living below poverty line in the District.

3.MAINTENANCE OF GOVT. S.T PRE – MATRIC HOSTELS :

There are (3) Hostels & Ashram Schools in the District with the Strength  227 (Boys), 248 (Girls) at School level with boarding and lodging facilities to S.T students in the District. The details of the Hostels functioning in Siddipet District.

Diet and Cosmetic charges are also provided to each boarder.  Providing (4) pairs of Dresses, Bedding material, Note Books to the inmates every year.  For every three years Plates & Glasses and for every five years Trunk boxes are also provided to the boarders.

  Diet Charges @ Rs.950/- from 3^rd to 7^th and @ Rs.1100/- from 8^th to 10^th Class Students and 1500/-P.M to Inter & PG Students.

Cosmetic Charges @ Rs.62/- for Boys from 3^rd to 10^th and for Girls @ Rs.55/- from 3^rd to 7^th and @ Rs.75/- from 8^th to 10^th Class Students is being released

4.  FACILITIES PROVIDED TO THE S.T. HOSTEL BOARDERS :

• Each boarder will be supplied Carpet, Bed sheet, Plates and Glasses, Trunk Boxes, (4) pairs of Dresses, School Shoes, Stationary.
• Study material and Stationary pad, pens, pencils, calculator, Writch Watches will be supplied to the X Class boarders & Spl. Diet to SSC boarders during examination.
• Tutors are appointed in the subjects of Maths, Science, English and Hindi.
• Motivation classes are being conducted by the Subject Experts to the SSC Class boarders.
• Medical Checkup are being conducted once in a month.

Cosmetic charges @ Rs.50/- per month for Boys and for Girls @ Rs.55/- per month from 3^rd class to 7^th class and Rs.75/- per month from 8^th to 10^th class

6. PRE- MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS  TO ST STUDENTS:

Pre-Matric Scholarships are being awarded to all the eligible S.T Students i.e. Rs-2250/- for Day Scholars and Rs-4250/- Hostels Boarders for 9^th, 10th Class and Rs 1000/- (Boys) and Rs-1500/- (Girls) for 5^th to 8^th class students.                                          

7.BEST AVAILABLE SCHOOLS

Government has introduced the scheme of BEST AVAILABLE SCHOOL in which the ST students are provided seats in the private schools available in the district.

Entry in to the school is at 3^rd,5^th and 8^th class where admission to residential. The selection of students is made on lottery basis.

8.GOVT. ST COLLEGE HOSTELS:

There are (3) College Hostels at College Level  with boarding and lodging facilities to S.T students in the District.

9 .POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS (MTF) & REIMBURSEMENT OF TUITION FEES TO ST STUDENTS:

Post Matric Scholarships (MTF) are being awarded to all the eligible S.T Students whose Parents / Guardians annual income does not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- for all courses i.e. Intermediate to P.G. & Professional courses on saturation basis.  The rate of mess charges are enhanced as shown below:-

10.SANCTION OF INCENTIVE AWARD TO INTER CASTE MARRIED COUPLES:

Under this scheme, an incentive award is being sanctioned @ Rs.50,000/- per couple those who have performed Inter-Caste marriage.

Apart from 50,000/- provided by the Telangana State Government, for selected couples. The amount of Rs. 50,000/- for the couples who married after 31-03-2022.

11.Ambedkar Overseas VidyaNidhi:

          Governments issued orders for “Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi” Financial Assistance to ST students for pursuing higher studies abroad in the (10) countries viz., USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Germany, Newzeland, Japan, France & South Africa. Each student is provided financial assistance of Rs- 20 Lakhs along with Visa and traveling charges.

12.KALYANA LAKSHMI– REFORMS AND POLICY INITIATIVES

Government of Telangana introduced the scheme “Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam” to the ST girls on their marriage with a view to alleviate financial distress in the family. Under the scheme of “Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam”, financial assistance of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty one thousand only) at the time of marriage shall be granted to every eligible ST girl from the year 2016-17. The combined income of parents of SC girls shall not exceed Rs.1,50,000/- in respect of Rural Areas and Rs.2,00,000/- in respect of Urban Areas.

   Government vide issued instructions to the (68) Revenue Division Officers (RDO) to implement the scheme with the help of Tahsildars. RDO is the drawing & disbursing Officer and responsible for verification of correctness of beneficiaries through the MRO’s.

       Government has enhanced financial assistance from Rs.75,116/- to 1,00,116/- under the scheme ‘Kalyana Lakshmi pathakam’ w.e.f.01.04.2018 to all the STs.

13.Economic support scheme(ESS) 2020-21 & 2021-22

          Under Economic support scheme total Target (55) units subsidy amount Rs.47.24 lakhs prepared Action plan for the year 2020-21. And for the year 2021-22 target (223) units subsidy amount Rs.178.13 lakhs prepared and target communicated to the concerned MPDOs and Banks.
