Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) is an important initiative aiming at early identification and early intervention for children from birth to 18 years to cover 4 ‘D’s viz. Defects at birth, Deficiencies, Diseases, Development delays including disability.

KCR KIT: (kcrkit.telangana.gov.in)

The state government has launched KCR Kit Scheme for pregnant women. Pregnant women can utilize this scheme for maximum 2 deliveries. Women who give birth at a government hospital can utilize this scheme.

The state government under the scheme would provide a kit containing some essential items for pregnant women and new born baby to manage the pregnancy complications. The scheme is designed to get pregnant women nutritious food and to take care of the new born after delivery. KCR Kit scheme is aimed at wellbeing of mother and child and reducing the infant mortality rate. Encouraging institutional deliveries in the state is also one of the main objectives of the scheme.

Under this scheme, pregnant women will be provided with financial assistance of Rs. 12,000 in four phases. In case of a baby girl, an additional Rs. 1000 will be given by the government.

  1. First Installment – a) Rs. 3000/-For ANC Check ups .
    1. b) 2 ANC Checkups have to be done by Medical Officer before 5 ½months .
  2. c) ANC Registration has to be done in first trimester by ANM (Before 12 weeks)

  3. Second Installment –a) Rs.5000/-for Female Child and Rs. 4000/-For Male Child Delivery in Government Institution.
  4. b) KCR Kit will be given after delivery.

Family Planning:

Telangana: Commissionerate of Health and Family Welfare – Information on Family Planning. Family Planning is a Centrally Sponsored Programme. The National Health Mission is also implemented by Commissionerate. Using this service citizens can get information on Health and Family Planning.

The Corporation has adopted the e-Aushadhi Software for the process of Online Indenting, Distribution & Prescription-Audit of Drugs & Surgicals, from Peripheral to State level.

The e-Aushadhi project, deals with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Drugs and Surgical; has been live at the CMS level at all the District HQs in the State since June 2015. The system acts as a track-n-trace mechanism for each and every drug/surgical right from procurement to supply to end user (citizen).

Telangana Diagnostic Hub:

An ultramodern diagnostic hub, which can conduct over 35,000 tests a day, was inaugurated in Siddipet. The facility, equipped to conduct 57 kinds of tests, will see more medical tools being procured in a phased manner.

To provide free diagnostic services to people, the State government has proposed to open such centres in all the district headquarters. The Siddipet Diagnostic Hub is the first to be opened in the State.

NCD (Non Communicable Diseases):

Non communicable diseases (NCDs), also known as chronic diseases, tend to be of long duration and are the result of a combination of genetic, physiological, environmental and behavioural factors.

The main types of NCD are cardiovascular diseases (such as heart attacks and stroke), cancers, chronic respiratory diseases (such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma) and diabetes.

To prevent and control chronic Non-Communicable diseases, especially Cancer, Diabetes, CVDs and Stroke. > 30 years of age screening at all levels in the health care delivery system from sub centre and above for early detection of diabetes, hypertension and common cancers (Breast, Cervical, Oral Cancers). Provides free medicines to the people with NCD. It also includes Mental Health and Palliative Care.

TB:

We conduct ACF camps (Active case finding camps) village wise collecting Sputum sample for symptomatic cases and Covid cases (after 28 days). We examine sputum samples through DMC (Designated Microscopy Centre), CBNAAT, TrueNat.

After confirmed put on treatment & follow up our district is 85%.

We provide NPY (Nikshay Poshan Yojana) to all TB +ve cases for Nutrition support Rs.3000/- through DBT by PFMS.

Leprosy:

Leprosy is caused by Mycobacterium leprae. Leprosy is a long persisting (chronic) infectious disease. It appears as a hypo pigmented patch on skin with definite loss of sensation. The onset of leprosy is subtie and silent. It affects nerves, skin and eyes.

Signs and symptoms:

Dark-skinned people might have light patches on the skin. While fale-skinned people have darker or reddish patches.

Loss or decrease of sensation in the skin patches.

Numbness or fingling in hand or feet.

Weakness of hands, feet or eyelids.

Painful nerves.

Swelling of lumps in the face by earlobes.

Painless wounds or burns on hands or feet.

The disease is curable if detected early. It can be cured by Multi Drug Therapy (MDT). Recurrence after adequate treatment with MDT is extremely rare.

The symptoms of the disease occur generally after a long period as in the incubation period for leprosy is variable from few weeks to 7 years. Early diagnosis early treatment – not deformity.
